“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” – Edmund Burke
At ROE Tactical we refuse to do nothing – it’s just not in our blood… and quite frankly it shouldn’t be in yours either.
Earlier this week we read a story unfold in Lee County Florida along the side of Interstate 75. What most thought would be just be another daunting commute to work turned out to be a day they will never forget. This story has two sides one from a professional sheepdog who responded to an accident that somehow resulted in a high speed chase along the freeway and ultimately resulted in a fight for his life along the side of the freeway.
The second side of this story is that of a citizen, licensed to carry in his State, and called to ACTION when it really counted. His swift, decisive action stopped the threat on that deputies life. Bravo, sir, bravo.
So in this particular case the “good guys” won, the deputy was able to go home to his family and loved ones, and the armed citizen hailed as a hero… but how many times this year have we heard about things going the other way? How many of those incidents could have and should have ended differently if those called to ACTION actually acted. Now, please don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that those men and women who have died in the line of duty are at fault for their incidents – I am not one to be the “Monday Morning Quarterback” telling someone else how they should do something differently. That’s not my point…
My question (and point) are how many times has something… anything… happened with others around that could have or should have acted. But because of a deficiency in mindset, training, equipment, whatever that individual not acted or acted differently than what they could have or should have done?
Be prepared – don’t set yourself at a disadvantage by not equipping yourself with the proper tools of your trade. Prepare yourself mentally and physically – train like you fight. Stay Safe out there, and if you can’t be safe be deadly!
ROE Tactical offers sheepdogs, armed citizens, and patriots quality tactical gear of defense of our Country at home and abroad.
